Félicie (Elle Fanning) is a small girl who has big dreams, she wants to leave dull streets of Brittany behind and become a star ballerina in Paris.Encouraged by her best friend and brilliant inventor, Victor (Dane DeHaan), she runs away from home and assumes the role of the privileged daughter of a wealthy family in order to enrol at the Grand Opera House.But life at the prestigious dance school is not without its problems. Overrun with cold, calculating and ruthless girls who will stop at nothing to succeed, Félicie quickly begins to feel the pressure and her lack of formal training leaves her exposed.
