Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in his castle.
When Belle (Emma Watson) realises her father has been away from home for far too long, she sets out to discover what happened to him. Travelling through the forest, she comes a mysterious castle, and enters to ask for help.
Belle soon finds her father imprisoned within the castle’s dungeons. Gravely ill, she desperately wants to rescue him from this freezing hole, when the terrifying beast (Dan Stevens) emerges from the shadows.
The only way to rescue her father? Take his place as the beast’s prisoner, and accept a lifetime spent in this remote, desolate castle.
As Belle’s time in the castle progresses, she learns of the curse placed upon the entire castle, transforming the servants into furniture, and the prince into the monstrous beast.
Based on Disney’s beloved 1991 animation, Beauty and the Beast is a live reimagination of this classic fairytale. Starring Emma Watson (Harry Potter) and Dan Stevens (The Guest), alongside Ian McKellen (The Hobbit) as Cogsworth, Ewan McGregor (American Pastoral) as Lumiere, Luke Evans (Dracula Untold) as Gaston, and Emma Thompson (Bridget Jones’s Baby) as Mrs Potts.
