P. T. Barnum is one of America’s most fondly remembered showmen, having founded two of the best loved circuses to ever grace the Western hemisphere.
But at one point in time, that future was yet to exist. With only his imagination to guide him, P. T. Barnum once had nothing, and it would take his own tremendous vision to give birth to show business, and make his dreams a reality.
Working in a mundane job, the life he provides for his family is secure, but nothing special. When the company goes bankrupt and leaves him jobless, this sadness pushes him to create a more extraordinary life for the people he loves.
He decides to put on a show, containing all shapes and sizes of people who would usually struggle to be the stars of a performance, and begins to win over his very first crowds.
As his success begins to gain traction, P. T. Barnum would go on to found the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, as he sets on his path to becoming The Greatest Showman.
The musical ensemble of The Greatest Showman stars Wolverine himself – Hugh Jackman – in the lead role, having recently featured in Pan and Eddie the Eagle. Opposite Jackman, is Zac Efron (Baywatch) as Phillip Carlyle, Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea) as Charity Barnum, and Rebecca Ferguson (The Snowman) as Jenny Lind.
