Whitby Sea Festival is thrilled to be part of the Cook 250 Whitby Celebrations in 2018. Celebrating 250 years since the start of Captain Cook's First great Voyage of Discovery on board HM Bark Endeavour, there will be events across the weekend of 6-8 July all over Whitby.
The Sea Festival will be presenting a varied programme of music with a Sea theme at the Bandstand from Friday afternoon through to Sunday. In addition, there will be special music events at Sanders Yard Bistro. More info coming soon.
Just before the Festival Weekend, on Thursday 5th July, there will be a one-off performance at Whitby Pavilion of Richard Grainger's musical play about Cook and the Voyage; 'Eye of the Wind'.
