Come and hear more about where to find herbs, how to grow them and their uses past and present on Sunday 24th June in Lealholm, from 2 – 4 pm.
Moor Sustainable CIC, organisers of the afternoon, are delighted that Wendy English, Botany Recorder for Whitby Naturalists; Barbara Beveridge from Seasonal Salads; Carol Wilson historian and author of Flora of Westerdale (publication pending); and Lisa Chapman, restauranteur from ‘To Dine For’ have agreed to share their knowledge and expertise of herbs.
During the afternoon enjoy a free hedgerow drink with herb related nibbles and enter the free draw for vouchers for herb plants from Poets Cottage Nursery, Lealholm. You could come by train and look out for the herb planters on the station platforms along the Middlesbrough to Whitby line.
Entry by ticket only. To book a place go to http://bit.ly/HuntforHerbsAfternoon or phone Caryn Loftus on 01642 723137.
