Whitby Goth Weekend (WGW) has grown over the last 17 years and is now a biannual celebration of all manner of wierd and wonderful characters, music and art. The main events are held at the Whitby Spa Pavillion but during the weekend many of the local hotels and pubs put on additional live music acts. There is also the popular Bizarre Bazaar Goth Market selling all things Gothic from jewellrey and clothing to art and music.
As well as Goths, Whitby welcomes Punks, Steampunks, Emos, Bikers, and Metaller during the weekend festivities and Goths and non-Goths alike can be seen parading around the town in weird and wonderful costumes creating for a wonderful and friendly atmosphere to be enjoyed by all.

During the day spend your time at the Bizarre Bizarre shopping for the must have outfit and in the evenig dance the night away to five great bands and DJ's. Tonights line up features 'Berlin Black', 'Cryogenica', 'Devilish Presley', 'The Mist of Avalon' and the headline act, from the US, steampunk legends 'Abney Park'

Saturday 5th November
Ensure your firework night goes off with a bang with more shopping and even more great bands and DJ's, tonight featuring 'The Death Notes, The Dark Shadows (from Australia!), Rhombus, The Last Dance (US) and headline act, Chameleons vox (featuring The Chamelons singer Mark Burgess playing some the bands greatest tracks)
Sunday 6th November
Spend the morning in the Spa Pavillion for those last minute bargains, then at 2pm head to the Turnball Ground as the mighty 'Real Gothic' take on 'Athletico Gazetter' for the bi-annual charity footbsall match. Then afterwards either celebrate or drown your sorrows at the weekends only dedicated old school goth night 'Nostalgia'. Monday 7th November
